Alright, let's see; five things about me. Well:

1. I've climbed to the top of the domes of the three largest (in volume) churches in the world; St. Paul's in London, the Basilica di Santa Maria di Fiore in Florence, and St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
2. I have many days when I am the world's worst creative hermit. Seriously. I think I've hissed at people who disturbed me.

I just realized that some of these things make me sound slightly insane... ah, whatever. "The best kinds of people are a little bit mad", no? (quote extracted from Alice in Wonderland!)

And now here are Lis's questions!

1. Do you have a role model? If so, who is it?
Hm... well, I've found myself esteeming Jackie Kennedy a lot lately. She's just a very strong yet elegant figure. But other than that, I just have a variety of authors and singers/actors I look up to because those two things are quite possibly MY ENTIRE LIFE.

2. Favorite kinda weather?
I love the rain. Really cliche answer, but I can't get enough of it. Though I suppose I like cool but not cold fall days as well.

3. Do you consider yourself more of a koala person or a penguin fan?
This is a tough one... probably koalas. Though I honestly prefer Red Pandas over the both of them.

4. City or country?
I like them both for different reasons, but if I had to choose a place to live; probably the city. I love the quiet, picturesque country life; but something about the city just makes me smile at the thought of it.

5. Do you have a favorite instrument?
Probably piano. Though I find violins fascinating.
.... don't ask me why, I just do!

6. Are you more of a land lubber or do you prefer being out on the water?
Out on the water. And I'm not saying I'm a full-blown, knot-tyin' sailor; but I do like just bobbing on the waves.

7. What country would you love to visit?
Ireland or France. Though any trips to another country is a friend of mine; (<-- oh look! Another completely nonsensical statement! )because I adore learning about the cultures, languages, and sights.

8. What song do you really relate to?
Good Lord, there's so many. I have different songs that I relate to for different reasons; but if I had to choose one over all, I'd probably go with "My Life" by Billy Joel, "Home" from Yeston&Kopit's Phantom (how I feel when I'm singing. ), or "A Place in This World" by Taylor Swift. Or a jaunty irish jig.

Huh. Not exactly one. But hey; it's better than the gigantic playlist I was planning to post!!

9. Are you petrified of spiders?
Depends on the day. For the most part, no.

10. What do you like most about yourself?
Physically or emotionally? Physically, I like my eyes and my red hair. Emotionally, I like the fact that I'm pretty cool and collected most of the time, and that I'm always open to listening to people's problems and wanting to help them.

11. And, finally, why is a raven like a writing desk?

My oh my; lots of things to celebrate right now!

For one thing, I've officially been on DA for one year! I'd like to take a moment to thank all those I've come across on this wonderful site; without you I wouldn't have had as successful a first year as I have. Especially those I know IRL, which brings me to my next topic...

I've also just graduated. There are so many things I'd like to say but can't... without making this journal one of the longest DA's ever seen.

I've known most of you since kindergarden, maybe even longer. I've grown up with you, and these years I've spent with you--my honorary brothers and sisters-- have been some of my best. I cannot even physically process the fact that I'm not going to be seeing you all every day; not going to be "WAH NAH NAH NAH!" ing in the halls with Brian, laughing, joking, and just creating general mayhem with Rach, Katch, and Beanie, talking about the latest music with Ry, discussing her violent drawings with Kelly, Singing and giggling with Em and Meg, talking about strange videos with MyBalls-Matt, straight face contests and the daily swishing of my ponytail with Kev, everything from deep talks to side-splitting jokes with Chris, and just general intenseness, craziness, and laugh-til-you-cry times with Kat.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many people who aren't on DA that I'm going to miss with all of my heart, but just know that those reading this; I love you to pieces and still can't believe we're actually leaving each other (for now).

Any of you wonder why I wasn't really crying last night? Because it still hadn't hit me that this was actually the end of the road we've spent so long on.

You guys have taught me that family is everywhere; not just under the roof of our homes, and that it just may take a little bit of time to find them. If you'd asked a much much MUCH younger me if I'd ever be friends with most of you, I'd probably say something along the lines of, "I don't tink so. Pwus some of dem are BOYS!"

And look at me now? Lamenting over the people I've grown closest to these past few years; not ready to let them go.

...Alright, I'm going to stop before I start bawling. I just want to say thank you so much for all the love, laughs, and memories you've given me; I promise right now I'll cherish them forever. You guys have made me a better person, and I vow that I'll remember that fact so that if I ever have kids one day, I'll tell them to seek out the types of friendships I'd made so many years ago. You all BETTER keep in touch, and know that though we may be PHYSICALLY leaving each other for a while, I will always be there in the poetry booklet you received, the pictures taken of our happy golden years, and the memories you hold in your mind of our times together.

...not to mention you guys can text me ANYTIME ANYPLACE ANYSITUATION and I will still be there for you.

Hey! I haven't written a journal in a while. How is everybody?

Just returned from my first performance in the wacky, fun, upbeat musical Honk! I played Ida, the mother duck, and I felt pretty good about the way I preformed.

- Let me once again say how utterly incredible you were!! From my BFF Maureen and our motherly duet (just like old times; I'm gonna cry!!) to the quick change of both looks and personality to be the Bullfrog (which she pulled together in just THREE. FRIGGIN'. DAYS  because the other guy who was supposed to be there.... uh... got tied up); you're one of the most energetic, positive, and wonderful performers and friends I could ask for!!

, you're going to be just as amazing!! Break a leg out there, girly! My favorite daughter and soon-to-be kick-asssssk your mother what it's called alternate Bullfrog!! Mama's so proud of you!

- you were an EPIC froglet!! You looked totally gorge up there in your swimcap and heavy makeup. . you!

- God; I cannot even get over how amazing you dance. The grace and elegance and complete class of a snowflake are all in you, and it never fails to make me drop my jaw in awe when you trade your fiery sass for the quiet, tranquil, serene ballerina on stage. Bravisima, Kataratacorn!

- Even with a gap in your teeth (like... hmm... a certain bullfrog(s) Ems? Megs? Anyone? ) and a scrape on your chin, your goosey first-mateness makes me laugh. I finally got to see your part!! Nice job from your cuzzie ginger!

- "you're my son and I love you!!" I speak the truth there (or... SING the truth, I guess ). I couldn't ask for a better Ugly Duckling!! You've got the stage presence as big as the giraffe you were named for, and you are just one of the most fun, optimistic, and not to mention amazing performers EVAH!! Wa na na na na na na na na!!

- You are the best director/techie a duck could ask for!! You keep those other lazy assssskyourmotherwhatitscalled techies in line; and are always so organized and epic and side-splittingly hilarious! PITTER PATTER!

- You is an EXCEPTIONAL goose!! Mrs.P always points out how amazing you are, and I think you deserve that AND MORE!! Your smile makes me smile and seeing (finally; I was on the right backstage left! ) you up there having so much fun and rockin' that goose chase is just amazing!

- Hey, father swan! You tryin' to steal my son away from me??? Just kidding; you were incredible! Your indestructable straight face was perfect for this part; and I had a hard time not cracking up (as usual ) between that and your Mr. Roger's sweater! 3...2..1.... .

..... gahhhh you were just too good I can't keep a straight face when I want to smile so bad!


- I cannot even say how much I love your gobble thing that you do while in the gossip circle. (it's hard no to laugh instead of get mad ) You play the part perfect, and it's so much fun hanging backstage with you while waiting to go on for that scene! I also don't care about what anyone says about the whole forgetting the "yesyesyesyesyessss!" part at the end; they didn't tell you to and you listened! LEAVE HIM BE, DAMN HATERS!

- You play an AMAZING Penny!! Your expressions and acting are just mind-blowingly awesome; and I'm so proud to call you my daughter-in-law!! Do take care of him for me, dear! And watch out for fishing line; we don't want a repeat of your first migration! s, Beanie!!

And last but not least, - girl; you're awesome on the Goose Air; "Fluffy Skies"! But are you flying off to chase tornadoes? Careful, dear... there's a shoot on the marsh.



You guys were all so amazing; I you all and cannot wait to finish the rest of the run with you!!

Hello friends and watchers!! How are you all? IRL friends; how have your breaks been going?

I've just returned from London with not only an open jaw from awe; but some great pictures, a poem, and a new novel idea! Well actually... it's going to be rather small... perhaps a... novel-ette?

If is reading this... I walked down Abbey Road. Said a silent hello to the Beatles for you, dah-ling!

I also did as any lover of musicals would and went to see some shows on West End; Legally Blonde and Les Mis. And something AWESOME happened. Not only was Legally Blonde hilarious and Les Mis one of the best shows and productions I've ever seen... but I met two of my IDOLS who were playing Jean Valjean and Javert in the show... Hadley Fraser and Ramin Karimloo.

I'm sorry I know most of you probably have no idea who these guys are... but you truly should. They're incredible. And so nice and generous with their time. *fangirl squeal*
